36″ Hunter R&M Comfort Breeze Ceiling Fan

Author: admin

This is a vintage hunter comfort breeze ceiling fan i picked up at the habitat for $10. It is missing the mounting bracket. It had a split blade, but i put wood glue in it. It is a 3 speed one. It works well. I like it. ENJOY!!!!!!!

Hampton Bay Paradiso

Author: admin

Here is a HB Paradiso ceiling fan that I found in an art gallery. The fan puts out a fair amount of air, but nothing compared to a vintage fan. Sorry for the bad quality, but the light was on one switch, and I coild not reach the light chain. There is another fan, but I could not reach the chain for that one.

36″ Canarm Spinner Ceiling Fan from 1988

Author: admin

Here’s an interesting design for a 36-inch spinner fan. It’s a Canarm brand from 1988. The blades are green which is uncommon. The vents on the bottom of the motor have not been stamped out, which is another unusual future (not sure if this is a design or a defect). Other than a bit of bearing noise, not a bad fan. Enjoy and please comment and rate.

1987 SMC F42 Ceiling Fan

Author: admin

SMC F42, white/polished brass ceiling fan from 1987. This is one of the two fans I recently received from a relative of mine. This is what might call a “quality” SMC—made in Hong Kong, good motor. It is pretty quiet, it has great bearings for an SMC. And to top it all off, it came with all the mounting hardware and this beautiful finish!

9 Basic Steps to Construct Your Own Wall Pocket As Wall Decor

Author: admin

Are you a fan of Do-It-Yourself projects? They can save you money. They are fun to do. They can give you that same feeling of accomplishment that you had when you tied your first shoelaces. In the wide world of home decor, you can create several pieces on your own including wall decor. Here are some basic steps to follow, in order to create your own wall pocket:

Step 1: Secure your materials

For this project, you will need:

- bud vase

- drill bit (metal-cutting)

- electric drill

- floral wire

- safety gloves

- tin snips

- vintage ceiling tile (2)

- wire cutters

Step 2: Cut one ceiling tile

You can use the entire ceiling tile if you want. Another option is to cut it down to a smaller size. It is your call!

Step 3: Drill a hole in the tile

This should be from the top of the tile, and the hole should go completely through it. Make sure to wear safety gloves!

Step 4: Curve the second vintage ceiling tile into a tube

This curved ceiling tile will serve as the front of the wall pocket. Make sure to wear the safety gloves. Remember that one alternative to creating your own wall pocket is to purchase quality metal wall vases.

Step 5: Drill holes into the curved ceiling tile

The holes should go into both the sides and bottom of the tile. Make the holes near the perimeter, and roughly ¼ inches in from the
